Excited for Ramadhan 1433

Are you as excited as I am for the Ramadhan this year?

I am looking forward to this Ramadhan because this is my last Ramadhan in Iligan City. After this year, I will be bound for Manila for review. In Shaa Allaah, the Almighty will guide through.

Anyway, moving on to Ramadhan. This month has been known as the month of repentance and reform. I want to exhibit those this year. I want to start my lifestyle change little by little starting off this Ramadhan. Amin.

Here are some of the things I want to change within me (step by step).

1. Excessive listening to western or secular music.

Yes. I do listen to most of the well-known songs nowadays. We cannot really evade the fact that the technology has brought more chance for us to be indulged in such genres. I do hope I can manage to lessen the times that I listen to songs with no meaning than adultery and money only. In shaa Allaah, I will delete the songs in my phone and put more Qur'an verses and surahs and a little bit of Nasheeds such as Talaal Badru Alayna.

2. Wear skirts more often.

In shaa Allaah, I want to lessen my wearing of jeans and pants more. Though, I am really trying to collect more skirts but they kind of costs much. I can't turn my wardrobe into the wardrobe that I want in just a snap of a finger. But, I really really want to wear skirts more now. It has been said that women should not wear what men are wearing. And I hope to incorporate such into my lifestyle.

3. Give time to read Qur'an.

I accept that I do not read the Qur'an as much as I am expected to. This time, I want to be able to read it and be able to finish reading it. It seems like a hard task because I am also busy with studies. But, I will really push myself to give and allot more time to such.

In shaa Allaah, the Almighty will give me strength and perseverance. In shaa Allaah, we will all be able to satisfy Allahu Ta'ala this Ramadhan and the days to come.

Help me attain this much wanted reform and change by praying for me. JazakAllaah and BarakAllaah khair.
